- Indian Institute of Technology Madras:Situated in Chennai, it is one of the most reputable universities in India. It was the third IIT founded in 1959 with technical & financial assistance from the former government of West Germany. It has 16 educational departments and a few advanced research centres in various streams of Engineering, Sciences, Humanities, and Management.
- Indian Institute of Technology Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology is a public engineering institution located in the national capital. The school was firstly named as College of Engineering & Technology and began functioning in 1961. It is of the globally known institutes. It provides a graduate degree in various streams of Engineering.
- Indian Institute of Technology Bombay:IITB was established with foreign assistance in 1958. When it is set up, the institute has achieved worldwide recognition due to its magnificent faculty. Nowadays, the institute has 14 academic departments, 6 centers, 1 school, and 3 interdisciplinary programs.
- Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur: IIT Kanpur was established in 1959 by an Act of Parliament. It was the first institute to commence Computer Science Education in India. In 1959, the institute commenced its journey in a room which has now been enlarged to a full-fledged campus with all the facilities.
- Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur:The first Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) was established in 1951 by the government of India. It has an immense campus, maximum departments, and the highest enrollment. Besides academics, IIT Kharagpur is well known for its festivals – Spring Fet (Social and Cultural Festival) & Kshitij (Asia’s largest Techno-Management Festival).
- Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee: The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee was formerly known as the University of Roorkee and the Thomason College of Civil Engineering. It was situated in 1847 by the British Government and was given university status in 1949 which later was converted into the Indian Institute of Technology in 2001. It was the 7th IIT to be announced. It offers undergraduate & postgraduate programs in 21 academic disciplines covering Engineering, Applied Sciences, Humanities & Social Sciences, and Management.
